Camps for the secondary department at Mundubbera State P-10 run on a biannual basis, with class camps occurring one year and subject specific camps occurring the following year. We have a joint year seven and eight camp early in the year as an orientation and team building experience. Student leaders from year ten also participate in this camp and it provides an excellent opportunity for them to learn new leadership skills and develop relationships with new students. Year nine and ten students experience a camp with a curriculum focus on Science and Studies of Society and the Environment through an environmental camp on Stradbroke Island.
Curriculum camps occur for subjects such as Physical Recreation, and an arts camp. These camps focus on giving students experiences they would not be able to gain while staying in the Mundubbera community. Some experiences students have been involved in through these camps include learning about surf safety through surf lessons and activities with life guards at beaches, music performances, theatre performances, dance lessons, and art gallery tours.
Mundubbera State P-10 has also begun running a ski trip for students in years nine and ten. This trip is also run biannually.
